Individual Therapy
In-person psychology appointments for adult mental health and wellbeing
We provide individual therapy for adults seeking support for their mental health and wellbeing. Individual therapy typically takes the form of private one-on-one conversations focused on detailed assessment and exploration of the difficulties you’re facing, and understanding and managing these difficulties through a psychological lens. While each person’s circumstances are unique, it may be beneficial to read our clinical topics [link] page for a general idea around why someone might engage in therapy.
Please note: sometimes it can be helpful to involve partners or family members in the therapy process, and we may talk together about whether this would be helpful for you. However, it is important to note that the individual remains the primary focus of therapy. This differs from couples-focused therapy which is not a service we offer at this stage.
Frequently asked questions

What does a clinical psychologist do?
Clinical Psychologists assess, understand, and treat mental health difficulties. We begin by gathering information. When you first make contact (e.g., through phone, email, or GP referral), we use this information as a starting point to guide a comprehensive clinical assessment. Together you will develop a shared understanding of your difficulties and decide on what you would like to work on.
Clinical Psychologists use evidence-based interventions, and have completed a minimum of 8 years of training, with specialised education in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. A typical appointment with a Clinical Psychologist will last for 50-minutes. Together with your CLincal Psychologist you may discuss additional tasks to be completed outside of appointments.
Do you see couples or families?
We do not provide couples or family therapy. We provide individually-focused therapy, though this may include involvement from other people in your life. For child & adolescent clients, parent or caregiver involvement is often recommended, though this will vary based on the presenting concern. For adult clients, it may be beneficial to involve people important to you, but the focus will be on your individual wellbeing. Individual therapy can be a helpful addition to couples-focused therapy.
Do you do ADHD, Autism or Cognitive Assessments?
We do not provide assessment services for the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, ASD, and specific learning disorders. We do use a neuro-affirming therapeutic approach and can assist in interventions for difficulties associated with neurodivergence. We can provide guidance on seeking assessment in these areas.
Fees & Rebates - Medicare, Private Health, NDIS
The 2026 fee for a 50-minute appointment is $270. You do not require a referral to see a Clinical Psychologist. However, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your doctor, you can claim a Medicare rebate of $145.25 for up to 10 psychology sessions in a calendar year. An initial referral is usually for 6 sessions, with a second referral required for the additional 4.
We do provide therapeutic services for clients on self-managed NDIS plans. For plan-managed NDIS clients we ask that you contact your plan manager to determine your access to psychological services. You may have access to psychology cover via your private health insurance.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. We provide telehealth as a convenient alternative to in-person appointments. For the best experience, please ensure you have a device that can make video calls (e.g. phone, tablet, or laptop), and a secure internet connection. How long does therapy take?
A perfectly reasonable question without a clear answer. Studies featuring clinical interventions typically use a ‘10-session model’, and accordingly Medicare allocates 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. This can be a useful starting point, but your personal circumstances will determine the duration of therapy and session frequency to a significant degree. The 2026 fee for a 50-minute appointment is $270.
